American Idol XV: We Rank The Top 6
It is that time of the week where we rank the contestants based on performances, social media popularity and overall impression.
#6.
R: Tristan McIntosh
No, she won't be eliminated. She might not even be in the bottom 2. She's in last place because I believe her talent is inferior. And I dislike anything Scott Borchetta punts for no apparent reason.
J: Tristan McIntosh
Tristan probably wont be the one going home. she should though. She has been punted relentlessly since day one and her back story clearly outweighs her talent. Please stop voting for this girl America!
#5.
R: Sonika Vaid
She'll sing for her life again this week. However, she could probably save herself again too. But probably not.
J: Sonika Vaid
Based on talent Sonika should be safe but Tristan has a larger fan base. Here's to hoping she survives another week.
#4.
R: MacKenzie Bourg
He drops out of my top 3. He continues to deliver solid and nice performances, but it's more of a case of Trent Harmon upping his game. Mackenzie will have to dig deeper, but with Dalton grabbing the majority of the teen girl vote, Mac could be in danger soon. Possibly very soon.
J: Dalton Rapattoni
Dalton might have the teenage vote but Trent and MacKenzie both have the cougars voting for them and we all know that cougars have more voting power than teenagers. Based on his performance last week he should stick around for a while but a shocking elimination can sneak up on us at any time!
#3.
R: Trent Harmon
From the underdog to someone to be reckoned with, Trent has made this a competition. The best male vocalist, and the only voice strong and unique enough to compete with La'Porsha, Trent should be vying for a spot in the finale, but he doesn't have the votes.
J: MacKenzie Bourg
MacKenzie is all arty and sweet but I don't think he has what it takes to win. The only reason I rank him higher than Dalton this week is because of the cougar vote as explained above
#2.
R: Dalton Rapattoni
The likely winner still hasn't lived up to his hype and potential, but his punk rendition of a Beatles classic was certainly a promising step. What he lacks in vocal talent, he needs to make up in performance. Still, he ticks that damn AI winner boxes.
J: Trent Harmon
Trent has sure worked his way up the Power Rank in recent weeks. He is peaking at the right time and with a huge support base he has emerged as a front-runner in the competition. His vocals have been on-point and he has grown into quite the bit of eye candy of late - all contributing factors in his fast-growing popularity.
#1.
R : La'Porsha Renae
Win or lose - likely the latter - she'll keep her #1 position on my ranking, unless she messes up and Trent or Dalton deliver knockout performances. Her version of "Come Together" showed off not only her voice, but also let her personality and charisma shine.
J: La'Porsha Renae
There is no stopping Miss Renae at this point - or is there? Her rendition of 'Come Together' was superb and she is every bit deserving of her current front-runner status.
What do you think of our Power Ranking? Who is going home this week?
