MTV VMA 2015: The Winners List

The MTV Video Music Awards are never known for who took home the trophies. It’s not remembered for who snagged the not-so-coveted awards. MTV barely plays videos anymore, but hey, on this night every year, they get a few musical powerhouses together and try to put on a show: a show that aims to shock and surprise and standout – for mostly non-musical reasons.
This year it was Kanye West announcing he’s running for President of the United States in 2020 (Damn you, orange man), Nicki Minaj calling Miley Cyrus a ‘b**** while accepting an award, and Miley’s hosting antics – while also announcing a new album. So all in all, MTV got their surprising moments.
But, for the few of you who care about who actually took home a trophy or two, here are a rundown of all the winners, and – shocker – Taylor Swift took home more than a few.
