Top Ten Hottest, Up and Coming Actors/Actresses of 2015

We’ve all seen the rise and fall of many a movie star and I know that we all love falling in love with them before they reach the stardom. Like Jennifer Lawrence, Miles Teller and the ever so sexy Chris Hemsworth these Top Ten Stars have been living in the shadows for a while but are now finally stepping into the light.

In no particular order:

Cara Delevigne – Started her modelling career at the young age of 10 and has since then done nothing but climb higher and higher. In 2009 she signed with Storm Model Management and has since sence graced the covers of Vogue UK, Love, i-D, Russh and Style.com. In 2012 and 2014 she won the Model of the Year award at the British Fashion Awards. Luckily for us this girl has now decided to try her hand at acting and has shown a lot of promise. Starting with a silent role in Anna Karenina she has only moved up. We can look forward to seeing her in three hugely anticipated films coming out. In Paper Towns, the new John Green adaption she will be starring alongside Nat Wolff. After that we can expect the Peter Pan prequel Pan she is taking on the role of a mermaid and in Suicide Squad she will be trying out her dark side with the likes of Will Smith, Jared Leto, and Margo Robbie. Where will this British Beauty take us next.

Tom Holland – Tom Holland's first break through role has to be The Impossible in which he starred next to Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor and will in my opinion always be remember because of this haunting and touching movie. Since then he has been seen in a few smaller, less noticeable roles but do not fear folks – we get to see him as the newest Peter Parker in the upcoming Marvel film: Captain America: Civil War. Do you think he will be able to fill the not so big shoes left by our previous Peter’s? Shouldn’t take too much if you ask me.

Tye Sheridan – He first saw the spot light in Mud in 2012. Since then he has won Best New Young Actor for his role in Joe in 2013, Best Youth Performance for Mud and been nominated for at least 5 other awards. He recently got the break through role as Scott Summers in the new X-Men: Apocalypse.

Chadwick Boseman – has been around since 2003 when he started appearing in small roles on TV series. His first TV break came when he had a 9 episode run in ABC’s Lincoln Heights which led to his role as Sergeant McNair in Persons Unknown. He finally got his first movie role in 2008 as Floyd Little in The Express. Then in 2013 he got the role as Jackie Robinson in 42, and continuing with his ‘sporty’ persona he played a role in Draft Day. This star slow rise in no way hindered his progress though and can be seen in Gods of Egypt and Captain America: Civil War in 2016.

Ezra Miller a young American actor who has been seen in a bunch of smaller films since 2008 finally got his first bits of fame in his role as Patrick in the controversial and ‘fun’ teen drama The Perks of Being a Wallflower, for which he won numerous awards. Ezra finally received his big break when he also got a role in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Katherine Waterston – has acting in the blood. Daughter of a former model Lynn Louise and Oscar-nominated father Sam Waterston she has been seen in numerous smaller, supporting and sometimes just plain forgettable roles since 2006. She can be found in The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby and Manhattan Romance in 2013 and 2014 respectively. Her first noticeable role was as Shasta Fay Hepworth in Inherent Vice for which she was nominated for three awards. She too has now been pegged for a role in the ever increasingly anticipated Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.

Brenton Thwaites – is a young Australian actor who has slowly been rising to fame over the last few years and has scored a few great roles over the last year. He started off as all our favourite Ausie actors (Can you say THOR?) did with a few small indie films and even a small recurring role on Home & Away. He did a starring roles in smaller movies and finally got a break when he starred in the horror film Oculus in 2013. His next bigger Hollywood role was as Prince Phillip in Maleficent. His biggest role so far has been as the starring role of Jonah in the Giver in which he starred alongside big, established stars such as Jeff Bridges and Meryl Streep. We can look forward to seeing this Australian hotty in The Gods of Egypt alongside Gerard Butler and Geoffrey Rush and also in the fifth instalment of The Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.

Lily James – a blonde beauty starring as Lady Rose MacClare in housewives favourite Downton Abbey has finally broken through the difficult television – silver screen barrier with her starring role in Cinderella, Disney’s newest remake of this old time favourite. Thanks to this we will also be seeing her in Adam Jones where she can learn from the great Bradley Cooper and Sienna Miller.

Michael B. Jordan – a young American actor who started his career on a bunch of small featuring roles in series such as The Sopranos, CSI, Without a Trace, Cold Case, Burn Notice and a few other family favourites. He did a three year stint on All My Children as Reggie Porter and played in the first season of The Wire. In 2013 he got his first big break as Oscar in Fruitvale Station and has been on the rise since then. His next big hit will be coming out this year and you can see him as Johnny Storm in the new remake of Fantastic Four.

Nat Wolf – former Nickelodeon star of The Naked Brother’s Band has always had a bad luck with the roles he played. Even when having a starring role, or supporting role he hasn’t seemed to rocket to fame the same way his counterparts have. You can see Nat in New Year’s Eve, Pease, Love, & Understanding and Stuck In Love. His first big roles as Jeremiah in Admission and Isaac in The Fault in Our Stars has however brought our young new star out of obscurity and can be seen in the well anticipated Paper Towns.

I look forward to seeing where these guys will take us next.
